Viton™ F

High-fluorine terpolymer (~70%) engineered for oxygenated automotive fuels and alternative fuel blends.

Overview

Compound profile

Viton™ F is the highest-fluorine grade in the standard A/B/F family, at approximately 70% fluorine content — engineered specifically for superior resistance to oxygenated automotive fuels, alternative fuel blends (ethanol-blended and biodiesel fuels) and harsh chemicals generally. The trade-off is reduced low-temperature flexibility versus Viton A or B, so it's specified when fuel chemistry is the dominant risk and the seal stays warm in service.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
  • Oxygenated and ethanol-blended fuel system seals
  • Biodiesel and alternative fuel blend seals
  • Automotive fuel injection and fuel line seals
  • Applications with the broadest standard-FKM chemical resistance requirement
Specification
Temperature range-15°C to +200°C
