Viton™ A is the general-purpose fluoroelastomer dipolymer, formulated at approximately 66% fluorine content. It's the baseline Viton grade — the right default for standard industrial seals, gaskets and petroleum/fuel contact where the fluid list doesn't call for the extra resistance (or extra cost) of the B, F or specialty grades. FITCO treats Viton A as functionally equivalent to standard-grade FKM for most oil & gas and industrial sealing requests.

FEP encapsulated O-rings use standard Silicone or standard Viton FKM as the elastomer core — not specialty sub-grades. If you need FEP encapsulation, the core is standard FKM, not this specific grade.
