Viton Extreme — ETP Series

The core Viton Extreme terpolymer — amine and high-pH chemical resistance beyond standard FKM.

Overview

Compound profile

ETP-series Viton Extreme is a terpolymer of ethylene, tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) and perfluoromethylvinyl ether (PMVE) — chemically distinct from standard A/B/F-family FKM, not just a higher-fluorine version of it. Standard FKM's long-known weakness is attack by high-pH chemicals and amines; ETP closes that gap, giving FKM-family sealing performance in caustic and amine-exposed service where standard FKM degrades. It sits in similar chemical territory to AFLAS (FEPM) — FITCO's engineers can help choose between the two for your specific fluid.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
  • Amine and caustic process chemical seals
  • Steam-exposed valve seals beyond standard FKM's service life
  • Oilfield production chemical exposure
  • Chemical processing seals where standard FKM has previously failed

Grade Reference

Viton Extreme — ETP Series sub-grades & variants

Viton Extreme — ETP Series isn't a single formulation — the grade below matters as much as the base compound once your application gets specific.

Base ETP terpolymer

ETP-S

The reference ETP-series compound — the entry point into Viton Extreme's amine and high-pH resistance for process seals where standard FKM has already shown degradation.

Refined cure system

ETP-600S

A refined-cure variant of the base ETP-S chemistry, specified where compression set performance needs to be tighter than the standard ETP-S grade delivers over long service intervals.
