HNBR O-Rings — Hydrogenated Nitrile O-Ring Manufacturer India

Higher heat and abrasion resistance than standard NBR for demanding drives.

FITCO O-Rings — assorted sizes, HNBR compound FITCO O-Rings — assorted sizes, HNBR compound
Overview

Compound profile

Hydrogenated Nitrile (HNBR) is produced by saturating NBR's polymer backbone, substantially raising heat, ozone and abrasion resistance while keeping strong oil resistance. FITCO specifies HNBR for high-pressure/high-temperature hydraulics, compressor seals, and demanding pump applications beyond standard NBR's service life.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
  • High-pressure hydraulic pumps
  • Compressor and refrigeration seals
  • Automotive timing & drive-belt seals
  • Oilfield downhole tools
Specification

HNBR — Hydrogenated Nitrile sub-grades & variants

HNBR — Hydrogenated Nitrile isn't a single formulation — the grade below matters as much as the base compound once your application gets specific.

Balanced cost/performance

Partially hydrogenated (~95–98%)

The majority of the NBR backbone's double bonds are saturated, giving a strong step up in heat and ozone resistance over standard NBR while keeping cost and processing closer to conventional nitrile.

Maximum heat & ozone resistance

Fully hydrogenated (99.5%+)

Near-complete saturation of the polymer backbone for the best achievable heat, ozone and oxidative resistance within the HNBR family — specified for the most demanding compressor and downhole tool service.

H₂S-service rated

Sour-gas grade

A formulation variant qualified for sour oilfield gas exposure, where standard HNBR's resistance isn't sufficient for sustained H₂S/CO₂ contact.
